OUR STORY
'YOU WILL DO IN 2 YEARS WHAT YOU DID NOT DO IN 10 YEARS'
The Liberty Church (TLC) was born out of a prophetic vision given to Pastor Sola Fola-Alade (PSFA), in which God commissioned him through Genesis 12:1—to leave his established place and start a new work. After much prayer, in obedience to the word, PSFA made the bold decision to step away from his previous denomination, where he had faithfully pastored for over 20 years, to establish TLC.
On September 6, 2015, after months of prayer, fasting, and spiritual preparation, TLC officially launched with a small group of just 30 attendees. Trusting in God’s promise—“You will do in two years what you did not do in ten years”—PSFA and the church community witnessed remarkable growth, with over 200 members joining within the first three months.
TLC is a vibrant, multicultural, and multigenerational church that welcomes people from all walks of life. TLC was founded to liberate and empower individuals to fulfil their God-given potential. Our mission is rooted in five core values: Love, Life, Laughter, Learning, and Leadership. These values are the foundation of our commitment to building a strong community, fostering spiritual growth, and developing leaders who live spirit-empowered lives.
Over the years, TLC has expanded its reach both locally and internationally. The church has hosted impactful events such as the Supernatural Shift Conference and Atmosphere of Worship and Wonders, drawing worshippers from around the world to encounter the power of God. Even in challenging times, such as during the COVID-19 pandemic, TLC adapted swiftly by moving services online, reaching an even larger global audience through virtual platforms.
Today, with four locations in the UK and two international locations in Lagos, Nigeria and Houston, USA, TLC continues to grow and transform lives through its diverse ministries, which cater to children, teens, singles, married couples, and young adults. At TLC, we believe in equipping believers to make a lasting impact in their families, communities, and the world.
